We hate to bring the cheese, but we’re pretty excited to reach the six-million milestone and would like to thank every one of you for helping us to create the most vibrant website community we know of - we can’t wait to see what the next six million sites are made of...

But enough of that! To celebrate the occasion we ran a competition last week to give away a Macbook, iPhone5, iPad and a subscription to Moonfruit for six million years.

Throughout the week we asked you to respond creatively to questions on Twitter to enter - check out all the activity on #moonfruit6m. And for the grand MacBook prize we asked you to build new sites. Here’s how it went...

To celebrate hitting six million sites built with Moonfruit (at 5,984,669 sites and counting we’re hoping this isn’t too wild an ambition) we’re giving away a Macbook, iPhone5, iPad and a subscription to Moonfruit for six million years*.

Throughout the week we’ll tell you how to enter the competition on Twitter. We won’t give it all away now, but let’s just say we’ll be asking you to get a little creative with your entries. Nothing too taxing though.

The grand prize – the mighty Macbook – will go to a randomly-selected site built between now and the six-millionth* - so it’s open to those of you who already have a site with us and want to build a new one, as well as new sign-ups (and the Twitterphobes who miss out on the rest of the competition). So get building now!

We’re pretty chuffed to be reaching this milestone and would like to take the opportunity to thank you all for choosing Moonfruit for your online projects and ventures. Pinnell Productions is a radio imaging and audio production company that creates everything from radio jingles to audio documentaries. Their website stood out for its slick design, great slideshow and impressive audio features.

It came to our attention recently that there’s a huge range of Moonfruit sites that fall under the ’services’ category - we’ve come across everything from a video-scribing and whiteboard animation company to a ukulele-wielding vocal-harmony trio.
