It’s London Fashion Week, darling! In the last of our fashion-themed posts, we’ve decided to honour the occasion by rounding up our current favourite fashion and accessory websites made with Moonfruit. Scroll down for some creative design inspiration and to see how our customers have used the Moonfruit shop, blog and widgets to stand out.
Eva Di Franco is a fashion designer and illustrator based in Florence, but her collections are available to buy in London. Her website is clean yet creative. Eva makes use of Moonfruit’s line tool to separate content and create flow between elements. For more information on our shape tool (Eva used the ‘line option’), check out our guide.
Sneaker Club is an independent handmade clothing and lifestyle label based in the UK. Their co-founder explains: “Sneaker Club stands for much more than the clothes on your back. It’s about craftsmanship. It’s about a celebration of creative industries.” Points to the brand for their sharp black and white design, which is simple yet effective (we especially love their logo). They’ve also created a slideshow on the homepage – you can make one yourself using software such as Comslider.
Gemma, founder of Rock Paper Kisses, sources beautiful jewellery and accessories for her website from all over the world. This site is a great example of how to incorporate your social media pages into your website. If you use Instagram for business, you can showcase your pics using SnapWidget. You can also link your pages using Moonfruit’s pre-made social icons – simply click through the Files tab > Library > Icons. For more information on creating links, take a look at our video tutorial.
Jade Moss is the director and designer of fashion brand Kissing in Traffic. Moss is no stranger to the fashion world, having set up her first vintage wholesale business at age 17. Since then, she has collaborated with Topshop and ASOS, worked as an advisor to fashion design graduates, and started a new business venture showcasing independent fashion designers based in London. The Kissing in Traffic Spring/Summer collection has not yet been launched, but we’ve fallen in love with the eccentric, eye-catching illustrations and animation displayed throughout the site.
Artemis South is an independent luxury beachwear brand based in Kent. The hues within the homepage image grid tie in perfectly with the marine colour scheme. To achieve a similar effect on your site, check out Fotor, a free image editing tool featuring a variety of filters plus a great selection of fonts and icons.
Off The Hook are a digital magazine focusing on photography, fashion, music and film. The content is inspired by urban British youth culture. You can read the mag straight from the website – it pops out when you click on it – thanks to the nifty publishing widget Issuu. The creators have made use of content blocks on the homepage enabling them to showcase links and information in a clean and organised fashion. Start sectioning your homepage using our rulers and guidelines tool.
