Moonfruit has proved a popular home for talented illustrators, and we’re pleased to say that Netherlands-based Kirsty Ellen Mottram is no exception.

Kirsty’s site is fairly minimal with just three key pages, but this allows her jaunty illustrations to take centre stage in her online portfolio. The site’s white background sets off her vibrant illustrations and contrasts well with the teal, orange and fuschia colour scheme used for her logo and menu navigation.

The main thrust of Kirsty’s work focuses on portraits, of the human and animal variety, but with slightly surreal compositions and a cartoonish edge – we liked this ‘pigeon atop an ice-cream’ in particular.

Kirsty also regularly enters illustration competitions to get her work out there for all to see. She’s a winner in our eyes.
