Made with Moonfruit: DanYELL

Surface-pattern designer Danielle Cassells is one busy, felt-tip scribbling, bee.

When she’s not applying her vibrant graphics to greetings cards, fashion accessories, and even living-room walls under the label DanYELL – she’s nurturing her new stationery project, PaperPattern.

Then there’s her custom artwork commissions (the dinosaur brooch gifts are our favourites) and a clothing collaboration. Phew. Still with us?

But it’s all in a day’s work for this Scottish textiles graduate and self-confessed felt-tip ‘obsessive’, whose aim is to ‘brighten up the place with vibrant, fun prints’. We think her card slogans in particular will raise a smile (‘A baby! Enjoy the nappies’ made us chuckle anyway).

We’re not the only ones to spot Danielle’s talent either – a selection of her printed scarves and brooches are now being stocked by Made in Glasgow, an exciting new collective which aims to ‘promote and sell products from Glasgow’s best artists, designers and creatives’.

So, if you’re in the market for something truly unique, a DanYell surface-pattern design might be just the ticket.
