Moonfruit’s Snap To It competition to celebrate World Photo Day has come to an end!
We were truly overwhelmed by the number of entries we received, so to say thank you we’ve decided to give away a few extra prizes. Along with the overall winner, we have runner-up prizes in four different categories.
Our overall winner came from Branwyn, who although being completely blind is very keen to get into photography. We chose her as our winner as though the image was simple, it highlighted perfectly that the most simple, and day-to-day things in life, can be made exceptional through perfect timing and great thought.
Our runners up were divided into four categories, and (drumroll please…) the winners are below:
People: Dave Henshaw
Dave’s touching image of his son Max who has down syndrome has already proved to be an inspirational source to others through awareness he raised for World Down Syndrome Day – and we thought it was very inspiring and touching too.
Nature: Sandra Powell
We liked Sandra’s image of her alpacas keeping cool despite being in notoriously chillier Scotland – it certainly made us smile.
Landscapes: Sarah Middleton
Despite having many entries into this category, we chose Sarah’s for the inspiring image that came with it – ‘The image is a reminder to persevere: black clouds don’t last long – the sun will return’.
Miscellaneous: Lisa Pattenden
Lisa’s poppy image came as an inspiring reminder that despite the many years that have passed since the World War I, those who lost their lives will always be remembered.
We’ve created a gallery of some of the images entered. Check them out here – www.snaptoit.moonfruit.com
